He was predeceased by: his parents, Edna Thompson (Oswalt) and Clayton A. Thompson; his daughter Marjorie; his daughter-in-law Julie Thompson; and his sisters, Lucille, Margaret, Maxine, Tootie and Betty.
He is survived by: his wife Joanne Bender of State College; and his children, Richard Thompson (Katherine) of Richmond, VA, Scott Thompson (Terri) of State College, PA and Carol Pepper (David) of State College, PA.. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Koch Funeral Home (2401 S Atherton St, State College, PA 16801). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the State College Presbyterian Church (132 W Beaver Ave, State College, PA 16801). A burial was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Centre County Memorial Park (1032 Benner Pike, State College, PA 16801).
