He was predeceased by: his parents, Franz P. Van and Maria Piro Van (Sue); and his brother Joseph Van Horn. He is survived by: his wife Gertrude Florence Heckle; his children, Debra Belies (Steven) of Plano, TX and Gregory W. Van Horn of State College; and his grandchildren, Christiane, Brian Belies, Nataleigh and John Van Horn.
