He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank F. Aplan, Sr. and Helen Fischer Aplan; his wife Clare M. Donaghue of Dorchester, MA; his daughter Margaret Anne; his siblings, Marie Michel of Ephrata, PA and James O. Aplan of Piedmont, SD; and his son-in-law Brian Bower of Berwick, PA.
He is survived by: his daughter Susan Bower of Berwick, PA; his grandchildren, Kyle and Teresa; his great grandchildren, Hailey, Emma, Declan and Ian; his son Peter Aplan, MD (Gaithersburg, MD); his grandchildren, Kurt, Melissa and Jillian; his daughter Lucy Aplan; his sister Carla Sahr (William); and his siblings-in-law, Rev. Rodney Michel, Robert Grandpre (West Springfield Mass), Margaret Donaghue and Peg Aplan.
