She was predeceased by: her parents, John D. Shields and Tirza M. Shields; her husband Charles J. Payson, Jr.; her son Ronald J. Payson; her grandson Jeremy D. Shields; her siblings, Betty J. Coalmer and Franklin D. Shields; and her niece Paula J. Patty.
She is survived by: her sons, Jerry D. (Peggy Shields) and Charles J. Payson, III; and her grandchildren, Stephen VanLuven, Sara Rinestine, Brandon Payson and Emily Payson. She is also survived by several great grandchildren.
