Esther U. Strause Obituary

Esther U. Strause, 97, of State College passed away on Monday, July 17, 2023. Esther was born in Harrisburg, Pa on July 23, 1925, the daughter of the late Charles and Nellie M. (Lightner) Unger. She married Edward Strause, who preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughter, Victoria (James) Stahr; and her nephews, Dave and Wayne Loser. She is also survived by her 3 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 9 grand-niblings. Along with her parents and her husband she was preceded in death by her sister, Mildred K. Loser, and her nephew, Donald Loser in 1969.

She was member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in State College. She was a secretary at Penn State University before her retirement.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
