It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elizabeth A. (Betty) Bechtel of State College, Pennsylvania, born in Miami, Florida, who passed away on March 12, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Elizabeth A. departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Elizabeth A. may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Elizabeth A. leaves behind.
She is survived by: her parents, Alfred Bechtel and Katherine Bechtel of Portsmouth, RI; and her siblings, James Bechtel, Peter Bechtel, Carolyn and Cajee. She is also survived by her grandparents, parents.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Andrews Episcopal Church (208 W Foster Ave, State College, PA 16801).
