He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Bellis and Margaret Bellis (Bachman); his wife Janice Carol Bellis; and his siblings, Marie and Robert Bellis.
He is survived by: his daughter Gayle Smith of Spruce Creek; his stepchildren, Gary Winklestin of Lake Tapps, WA and Linda Stover of Spring Mills; his sister Margaret Bellis of Millersburg; his granddaughters, Heather and Megan Kuhlman; and his stepgrandsons, Jonathan, Christopher Winklestin and Samuel K. Owens, II.
