He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Bettleyon and Dorothy Bettleyon (Shuck); his son Bryan Bettleyon; and his brothers, Robert Bettleyon and William Barnhart.
He is survived by: his wife Judith O'Brien; his children, Lauri Sauers of Bellefonte and Karen Bettleyon (John Briggs) of State College; his grandson Michael Sauers (Kristen); his great grandchildren, Addison, Gracie and Chloe of Mooresville, NC.; and his siblings, Richard Bettleyon (Diane) of Lewisburg and Linda Schleig of Northumberland.
