It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dean Everett Watkeys of State College, Pennsylvania, born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, who passed away on August 25, 2020, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold B. Watkeys and Eva Stroehecker Watkeys. He is survived by: his wife Gladys Hawn; his children, Deanna Afflitto of Boalsburg and Duane Watkeys (Denise) of Boalsburg; his brother Earl Watkeys of Baltimore; his grandchildren, Andrea Glantz (Nick), Emily Myles (James) and Adam Watkeys; and his great grandchildren, Anthony, Lillian, Thomas, Francesca Glantz and Waylon Myles.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, Dean's funeral service will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice in Dean's honor.
