He was predeceased by: his parents, Beatrice Schirm, (Burkett) and David M. Schirm, Sr.; and his siblings, Annabelle Keppel, Janet Peterson, Martha Silknitter and Leonard Schirm.
He is survived by: his daughter Julie Schirm; his brothers, Dale Schirm and Richard Schirm; and his wife Marjorie Dalzell (Marge). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
