It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Christopher Motch of State College, Pennsylvania, who passed away on February 28, 2025, at the age of 49, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his parent Jacquelen Gimmer; his wife Maureen P. Holtz; and his daughter Violet A. Motch of University's Architectural Engineering.
As he was committed to participating in additional research and with those goals in mind, his brain and spinal material and other samplers were donated to the UPMC Alzheimer's Disease Research Center, ADRC in Pittsburgh at the time of his passing. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his name to ADRC at adrc.pitt.edu.
