It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ann Barnes Hockersmith of State College, Pennsylvania, born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 14, 2022, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William J. II and Esther Brittain Fry, II; her former husband Geoffrey Barnes; her husband Wayne "Butch" Hockersmith; and her brother William Jefferson Fry, III.
She is survived by: her children, Scott W. Barnes (Alexandra) of Scottsdale, AZ, Andrew W. Barnes (Dolores) of Rockville, MD, David W. Barnes (Anna) of Cincinnati, OH and Liz Barnes of State College. She is also survived by seven grandchildren.
