He was predeceased by: his father Ray D. Pirl; his grandmother Eleanor Ansell; and his siblings, Timothy Mitts and Virginia Kastner. He is survived by: his mother Sarah Ansell Mitts (Clifford) of Stahlstown; his wife Barbara Shaffer Pirl; his children, James Hall (Carol) of Mount Pleasant, Shawn Hall (Renee) of Youngstown and Deanna McClain (Harry) of Stahlstown; his grandchildren, Bobbi Jo, Samantha, Kayla, Tony, Brianna, Christopher and Shannon; and his siblings, Patty Ann Ross (Bob) of Stahlstown, Tina Bailey (Michael) of Latrobe and Clifford Ansell (Cindy) of Normalville.
