Elaine and Lawrence Slater lit a candle

“Dear Melissa, Matthew, and your families, My heart is broken as I have lost one of the dearest and most amazing friends of my life, your mom Marilyn Stern. It was an honor to work for her and with her, sharing our love for the humanities and all that entails. My husband Larry was saddened as well. He and Marilyn were huge fans of Sci-fi books and movies and Jewish Studies, both of them active in their respective communities. Much love, Elaine and Larry Slater”
