He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert G. Smales and Ethel Smales (Brown); and his daughter Darla Mae Smales. He is survived by: his wife Fayne Smales (Bomboy); his daughter Stephanie McGladrie (Bill); his grandchildren, Tarren, Taylor and Katie; his son Kiah Van Gorden (Lindsay); his grandchildren, Lane and Lana; his daughters, Kerra Van Gorden and Kyonna McClain; his grandchild Lyric; his son Dawson Smales; his brother Elmer Smales (Connie) of Springville; and his brother-in-law Galen Bomboy (Carole) of Tunkhannock. He is also survived by 3 children, 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
