He was predeceased by: his parents, Wharton M. Hirst and Katharine J. Hirst (Paschal); and his cousin Dianne Pechka. He is survived by: his sister Katharine Elizabeth Brown (Earl); his nephews, Joshua David Brown (Rene) and Justin Daniel Brown (Karina); and his niece Rebecca Elizabeth Belcher (Jim). He is also survived by cousins, grand-nephews and grand-nieces.
