He was predeceased by: his parents, John MacGillivray and Mary MacGillivray; and his brothers, John and Hugh MacGillivray. He is survived by: his children, Mountain, Jessica, and Ryan; his grandchildren, Chiara, Mary, Brigid, Sean, Catherine, Joseph, Theresa, Dean, Emily and Brynn; his wife Doreen MacGillivray; his siblings, Mary Agnes MacGillivray and Bill MacGillivray; and his former wife Loretta (Coppa).

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the St. Thomas More Scholarship Fund, STMAA PO Box 294, Drexel Hill, PA. 19026.

“Prayers to Mark’s wife Doreen; my nephew Mountain & wife Grace; & Mark’s children & grandchildren who won’t be able to imagine life without him. I knew Mark from the neighborhood & as sister-in-law. He had movie-star good looks which he passed on to his offspring. He was an ever-present positive force to them & a special uncle to my son Patrick, who, with Mountain at 4, stormed Mark's hallway on big wheels & terrorized the owner of a nearby hardware store. Rest with Jesus, gentle & loving soul.”
