He is survived by: his children, Barbara "Joy", Susan, Linda, Jennifer, Thomas, Peter and Kevin; his sister Dorothy Lou "Dottie" Rose; his grandchildren, Richard, Kimberly, William, Casilyn, Francine, Derick, Julia and Sachiel; and his former wife Julia Rose (Silvers).
