He was predeceased by: his father Robert E. Moist. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis McMaster Moist; his stepdaughters, Jodi Kessler (Scott) and Stephanie Hampton (Matthew); and his sister Jackie Siminitus (Vince). He is also survived by four step-grandchildren, a niece and a nephew.
John Edward Moist (73) died after a long fight with Alzheimer's disease.
