He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Chapman and Lavina Chapman (Kobbe); and his siblings, Kenneth Chapman, Victor Chapman, Louise Chapman Weed, Eleanor Chapman Jennings and Cleota Chapman Furman.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Jane Chapman (Hendershot); his children, John M. Chapman Jr. (Darlene) and Linda Chapman King (Robert); his grandchildren, Lucas Chapman (Kelsey), Ashley Yanchuk (Brad), Taylor Kline (Travis) and Dylan King (Madi); his siblings, Harry Chapman and Joyce Bradford; and his sisters-in-law, Jane Chapman and Patricia Chapman. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and many dear friends.
