He was predeceased by: his wife Cheryl J. Long; his father John Long; his daughter Naomi Christine Long; and his brother John Malcolm. He is survived by: his children, Mikara J. Stansfield (Scott D.) of Willis, VA and Duane C. Long (Sheila E. E.) of Harrisburg; his grandchildren, Jason (Nichole), Natasha and Elizabeth; his great grandchild Wyatt; and his siblings, Paul, Larry (Beth) and Yvonne Ritchie.
