He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter G. Williams and Jean Williams; his brother Ronald Williams; and his siblings-in-law, William Campbell and Janet Williams.

He is survived by: his wife Jane M. Williams; his sons, Gerald D. Williams, Jr. (Jennifer), Joseph M. Williams, Sr. (Kathleen) and Michael D. Williams (Marie); his grandchildren, Joseph Williams, Jr., Dana K. Williams and Madelyn J. Williams; and his siblings, Walter Williams and Lorraine Campbell.
