He was predeceased by: his parents, Alex Nizzardi and Carol Nizzardi (DeNota); and his brother Kevin. He is survived by: his cousins, Aaron DeAngelis, Allegra Hedges, Anthony Stitt, Isabella DeAngelis, Anna DeAngelis, Ava Hedges and Natalia Stitt; and his godson Justin Hedges.

For many years, he gave a monthly donation to wounded veterans.
