He was predeceased by: his father Franklin Nielsen. He is survived by: his girlfriend Stephanie M. Rudolph; his children, Christopher D. Nielsen (Kristina) and Courtney M. Moore (Alex); his sister Joyce Ellis-Avery; his grandchildren, Adam, Kara Nielsen, Julia and Benjamin Moore; and his former wife Eileen "Sue" Desmond Nielsen.
