He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Guthrie and Evelyn Guthrie (Bourdette); his brothers, Kenneth and Tom Guthrie; his sister-in-law Edna Guthrie; his parents-in-law, Robert and Lucile Thorp; and his siblings-in-law, D. Jean Thorp Brobst and Barry Brobst.
He is survived by: his wife Sally Ann Thorp; his daughters, LuAnn Sakers of Canton, PA and Terri S. Madigan (Rich Daum) of North Orwell, PA; his grandsons, Dr. Jason Madigan (Kelly) of Lock Haven, PA, Byron R. Madigan (Amber) of Cascade, MD and Nicholas S. Sakers (Nina) of Canton, PA; his great grandchildren, Ethan, Emme Madigan of Lock Haven, PA and Moriah L. Madigan of Cascade, MD; and his siblings-in-law, Cheryl Guthrie, Frank Thorp (Michele), Robert Scott Thorp (Carlene), Todd Baldwin Thorp (Deirdre) and Betty Lou Harkness (Donald). He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
