It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of John Francis Wilt of Springdale, Pennsylvania, born in New Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, who passed away on December 23, 2021, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Augustine F. "Gus" and Letitia B. "Letta" Wilt (Aaron); and his siblings, Mary A. Hoover (John), Bernard L. Wilt (Elaine Miller), Kathryn A. Harrison (Bill), Teresa P. Morgan (Charles), Rita M. Filson (Tom) and George A. Wilt.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Jean (Sober); his children, Dr. Kathryn E. Wilt (Peter A. Madsen), John S. Wilt (Janet), Daniel A. Wilt (Beth Pride), David G. Wilt (Lisa) and Carolyn M. Studt (Keith); his grandchildren, Amanda K. Gelder, John S. Wilt Jr., Dr. Peter J. Madsen, Elizabeth K. Madsen, William R. Studt and Natalie E. Studt; and his stepgrandchildren, Michael C. Hatfield, Jacob Hatfield, Sara E. Studt-Szalkuski, K. Jonathan Studt and Zachary A. Studt. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
