Irene M. Simko Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Irene M. Simko of Springdale, Pennsylvania, who passed away on February 27, 2025 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John M. Bragiel and Victoria Bragiel (Slahtovsky); her husband Gabriel Simko; her son Mark S. Simko; and her siblings, Helen Davidowski (Raymond), John Bragiel (Henrietta) and Frances Bragiel.
She is survived by: her sons, Robert M. Simko of Tarentum, Daniel P. Simko (Debra) of Acme, Ronald J. Simko (Marianne) of Atlantic, VA and David M. Simko (Lisa) of New Castle; her grandchildren, Benjamin Simko of Blacksburg, VA, Elizabeth Simko of Brooklyn, NY, Matthew Simko of Blacksburg, VA, Michael Simko of Cranberry Twp, Rachel Simko of Cheswick and Valerie Wood (Corey) of New Castle; her great grandchild John Wood; and her caregivers, Sharon, Andrea, Danieal, Marty and Jean of Dementia.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM at the Duster Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. (347 E 10th Ave, Tarentum, PA 15084). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM and on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A burial was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Deer Creek Cemetery (902 Russellton Rd, Cheswick, PA 15024).
