He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Reed Houser and Sarah Anna Katherine "Mull" Houser; his spouse Shirley M. Shook; and his siblings, Evelyn Wilde, Frank Houser and Harold Houser.
He is survived by: his sisters, Mary Heimbaugh of Belleville and Jane Taylor of Reedsville. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
