He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert C. Lingle, Sr. and Gladys F. Lingle (Klinefelter); and his brother Kevin E. Lingle. He is survived by: his sons, Matthew Lingle (Georgia) of Spring Mills and Kyle A. Lingle (Victoria) of Elizabeth; his grandchildren, Kenzia, Chassidy, Takoda, Zoey and Christian; his siblings, Janice Johnsonbaugh (Darl) of Bellefonte, Marcia Lingle of State College, Robert Lingle, Jr. (Darlene) of Centre Hall and Amy Snare (Jim) of Aaronsburg; and his sister-in-law Hope Lingle.
