He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Shearer and Hazel Shearer (Hunt); and his sister Kathleen Shearer. He is survived by: his wife Judy A. Shearer (Funke); his children, Andrea Teal (Christopher) of Spring Grove and Robert Shearer, Jr. (Kristen) of Spring Grove; his grandchildren, Thomas, Brooke, Noah and Michaela; and his brother Lynn Shearer (Betsy) of Mount Wolf.
