She was predeceased by: her husband Harvey A. "Gus" Messinger; her parents, Lawrence Stambaugh and Lucy Stambaugh (Kessler); and her siblings, Spurgeon Stambaugh, Lawrence Stambaugh, Evelyn Hoke and Marian Farrence. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
