He was predeceased by: his wife Jacqueline L. Katz (Satterwhite); and his parents, James R. Katz and Arlene Katz (Lentz). He is survived by: his children, Laurie A. McIntyre (Robert) of Brookfield, WI and Daniel L. Katz (Laura) of York, PA; his grandchildren, David, Andrew, Benjamin, Anna, Elizabeth, Makayla and Hannah; and his brothers, Jay, Ronald and James. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren.
