Laverne G. Bortner Obituary
We are sad to announce that on November 11, 2024, at the age of 89, Laverne G. Bortner of Spring Grove, Pennsylvania, born in Codorus, Pennsylvania passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Laverne G. Bortner to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen R. Bortner and Mazie Kaltreider Bortner; his wife Maureen M. Bortner; and his siblings, Geraldine Cosgrove, Cleo Bortner, Ardella Schuchart, Madeline Harbold and Anna Mae Case.
He is survived by: his children, Jacquelyn L. Burt (Randy) of Florida, Richard A. Bortner (Nancy) of Florida, Laverne Scott Bortner (Kris) of York, James L. Bortner (Linda) of Florida and Jina E. Lewinberg (Tanya) of Canada. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 2nd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church (201 S Main St, Spring Grove, PA 17362). A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 2nd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, 201 S. Main Street, Spring Grove, PA 17362.
