She was predeceased by: her husband Robert L. Thieret; her parents, Isaiah W. Sterner and Hattie M. Sterner (Stover); and her sisters, Helen L. Rudy, Betty J. Poff and Mary M. Grimes.

She is survived by: her siblings, George F. Sterner (Joanne) of Spring Grove, Curvin D. Sterner (Judy) of Spring Grove, Melvin A. Sterner (Toni) of Hanover, William D. Sterner (Donna) of Spring Grove and Hannah M. Kessler (Dennis) of Spring Grove. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jean's memory may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 201 S. Main St., Spring Grove, PA 17362 or to the VNA of Hanover & Spring Grove, 440 Madison St., Hanover, PA 17331.
