She was predeceased by: her husband Robert L. Thieret; her parents, Isaiah W. Sterner and Hattie M. Sterner (Stover); and her sisters, Helen L. Rudy, Betty J. Poff and Mary M. Grimes.

She is survived by: her siblings, George F. Sterner (Joanne) of Spring Grove, Curvin D. Sterner (Judy) of Spring Grove, Melvin A. Sterner (Toni) of Hanover, William D. Sterner (Donna) of Spring Grove and Hannah M. Kessler (Dennis) of Spring Grove. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
