He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Sheffer and Estella Sheffer (Rudisill); and his siblings, Robert Sheffer, Ervin "Abe" Sheffer, Kenneth Sheffer, Margaret Stare, Mary Senft, Verna Failor, Katie Kissinger and Thelma Mummert.
He is survived by: his wife Theresa J. Sheffer (Kraft); his children, Brian Sheffer (Bonnie) of Middletown, Troy Sheffer of Spring Grove, Jerry Dennis (Kathy) of York and Donna Zaghary of Dover; his grandchildren, Brad S., Tyler, Brad W., Josh, Brady and Marissa; his great grandchildren, Benjamin, Jarrett and Everett; his brother-in-law Charles Kraft; his niece Kathy; and his nephew Mike.
