He was predeceased by : his parents, Charles Payne and Barbara Payne (Mowrey); his wife Ann Payne; his daughter Jilleen; his daughter-in-law Jody Payne; and his siblings, Juanita Wilson and Charles Payne.

He is survived by : his children, Colleen Ames of Argyle, TX, John Payne of Spring Creek, PA and Mitch Payne (Regina Sitzes) of Pilot Point, TX. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 3rd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Spring Creek Community Church (66 Blue Eye Rd, Spring Creek, PA 16436).
