She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Ann O'Hara and Louis Hartneck; her husband Robert P. Acken; and her daughter Patricia Ann Acken. She is survived by: her children, Dr. Bruce J. Acken, Brian E. Acken (Lisa), Mary Ann Cornwall (David), Sandra Ann Mueller and Dr. Kevin P. Acken (Tong); her grandchildren, Robert, Emily, Madeline, Patricia, Adam, Tyler, Zachary, Matthew, Audrey, Sophia, Robyn, Ashley and Brian Jr.; and her great grandchildren, Landon, Hayden, Juliet, Olivia, Joseph, Kayden, Miles and Brian III.
In lieu of flowers, it is suggested that contributions be sent to the Neurological Department of Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio in memory of Patricia Ann Acken.
