He was predeceased by: his parents, Hamilton Hernando and Clara Emma Emery; and his son Gerald Emery, Jr.. He is survived by: his children, Margaret, Carol Emery and George (Mare Emery); his grandchildren, Gerald, David, Rebecca, Kyra, Cole, Jayden, Gabriel and Mariah; his great grandchildren, Eric, Peter, Ella and Jake; and his sister Helen Raser Susan Patterson (Roy Kramer). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
