He was predeceased by: his parents, John Max Copeland and Laura Dale Copeland; his grandson Timothy Parrish; and his siblings, Bob, Enoch, John, Raymond Copeland and Ruby Simpson.
He is survived by: his wife Connie Yost Copeland; his children, Daniel M. Copeland, Jr. (Jackie) of Murrells-Inlet, SC and Dana M. Parrish (Rodney) of Wana, WV.; his grandchildren, Brandi Copeland, Samantha Earl, Travis Copeland, Cara Parrish, Marina Fox, Dixie Parrish and Abby Parrish; his great grandchildren, Cameron Cooley, Raylyn Cooley, Oaklee Copeland, Brantley Fox, Tobe Fox and Marin Fox; and his brother Jimmy Copeland.
