He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Reese and May Reese (Jones); his wife Marie Reese; his brother Sylvan Reese; his grandchildren, Julianna Marie James and Shawn Michael Reese; and his daughter-in-law Joyce Reese (Way).

He is survived by: his sons, Michael Reese and Jay; his children-in-law, Mitra Reese (Amini) of Titusville, Pennsylvania and Marty; his daughter Sonja James (Reese) of Spartansburg, Pennsylvania; his grandchildren, Nicole Pagliarini (Reese), Reza Reese, William Reese James, Reagan James, Nathan James, Riley Reese, Liam Reese, Elena Reese and Mia Reese; his grandson-in-law Casey Pagliarini; his great grandchildren, David Ohmer, Shawn Lucas Ohmer and Leviana Pagliarini; his siblings, Jessie Hawley of Union City and Roy; his sister-in-law Donna Reese (Clark) of Greensburg, Pennsylvania; his sister Clarissa Blanchard of Lakeland; his close friend Patricia Wagner of Meadville; and also Stacy Waha of Canadohta Lake, Pennsylvania. He is also survived by five children.
