It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Verna Mae Tubbs of Spartansburg, Pennsylvania, born in Corry, Pennsylvania, who passed away on April 28, 2021, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband William E. Scouten Sr.; her sons, William E. Scouten Jr. and Jerry Lee Scouten; and her sisters, Mildred Northrop (Philip), Iva Fralick (Guy), Florence Burlingame (Harlon), Edith Nichols (Keith), Tretha and Letha Goodwill.
She is survived by: her children, Barry Scouten Sr. (Sharon) and Wendy Swank (Kenneth) of Corry; her daughter-in-law Lois Scouten of Spartansburg; her grandchildren, Alan Scouten (Nancy), Mark Scouten (Michelle), Eric Scouten, Barry Scouten Jr. (Michelle), Becky Gray (Chad), Carla Fox (David) and Megan Kennedy (Matthew); her great grandchildren, Kyle Scouten (Megan), Jessica Wagemaker (Ian), Bradley Scouten, Allison Scouten, Elliot Scouten, Amber Slye (Kevin), Jaxon Gray, Nick Vanhooser, Riley Vanhooser, Delaney Scouten, Zachary, Jonah and Ethan Kennedy; her great great grandchildren, Kaius, Viola, Maia and Madison Scouten; and her stepsons, Marvin Tubbs (Linda), Rev. James Tubbs (Jolene) and Harold Tubbs (Kathy).
Due to CDC regulations, masks and social distancing will be required. The funeral service will be held privately on Monday and may be viewed on the Bracken Funeral Home Facebook page at 11am..
