He was predeceased by: his wife Janice Dempsey; his parents, Mary Dempsey and Francis Dempsey; his siblings, Mary McAndrews, Francis Dempsey and Judge Thomas Dempsey; his brother-in-law Robert Dunn; and his mother-in-law Catherine Dunn.
He is survived by: his daughters, Colleen and Janice Dempsey; his grandson Kevin Joseph Kauffman; his sister Catherine Trainor (Jerry); and his siblings-in-law, Tom McAndrews, William Dunn (Nancy), Joseph Dunn, Eilish Dempsey and Marianne Dempsey. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
