It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Knappenberger in Southeastern, Pennsylvania, born in Reading, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 20, 2021, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul H. Knappenberger and Kathryn Knappenberger (Medrick); his wife Sheila M. Knappenberger (Schwartz); and his sister Mary Louis Knappenberger. He is survived by: his former wife Ruth Fatzinger (Trusty) of Reinholds; his daughter Lois R. Carl (Barry C. Carl); his grandchildren, Mary, Evan of Alsace Township and Kayla (Brandon Oxenreider) of Mohnton; his son Eric J. Knappenberger (Madilyn Knappenberger); his grandchildren, Mya and Taya of Mohnton; his daughter Heather M. Pissarra (Stephen Pissarra); his grandchildren, Zach and Sheila of Hamburg; his great grandchildren, Alex and Liam Oxenreider; and his siblings, Dr. Paul H. Knappenberger, Jr. (Naomi Knappenberger) of Virginia and Penny A. Knappenberger of North Carolina.
