He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father Frederick Ruthardt; his wife Eva; his sons, Frederick W. Ruthardt, Jr., Paul Ruthardt (Carolyn) and Stephen Ruthardt; his grandchildren, Tommy, Paige, Brennan, Caitlin, Caleb, Danielle, Logan and Victoria; and his siblings, Charles Ruthardt and Eleanor Cairns.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Fred's name may be sent Redemption Episcopal Church.
