She was predeceased by: her husband John P. "Chubby" Sands, Sr.; and her son John P. Sands, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Elizabeth A. Hutt (John) and William K. Sands; her grandchildren, Shannon Sands (Jeff Coulter), Kristina and Kaitlyn Hutt; her great grandchild Lucy Elizabeth Sands; and her sister Catharine Diehl Garifalos.
