He was predeceased by: his parents, Courtney T. Schwanke and Dorothy Mae Schwanke (Hankel) of Duboistown; his brothers, Alan and Tod Schwanke; his grandson Jesse Thomas; and his brother-in-law Steven Roles.
He is survived by: his former wife Pamela Masden; his daughters, Heather Merrill (Troy) of Jersey Shore and Angela Thomas (Ryan) of Trout Run; his stepson Robert Schwanke (Bill Welsh) of Miami, Fla.; his spouse Leslie Stabley; his daughter Emily Orso (Josh) of South Williamsport; his grandchildren, Cody Weigle, Troy Merrill, Lillie, Cadence, Emma, Logan Thomas, Ayla and Meredith Orso; and his siblings, Gayle Johnson (Tom) of Mesa, Ariz, Carol A. Roles of Duboistown, Debra Johnson (April Kaufman) of DeLand, Fla., Lyn Schwanke (Debra) of Spring, Mark Schwanke (Debra) of East Petersburg and Luke Schwanke of Lititz. He is also survived by 20 nieces and nephews.
