She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence R. Winters and Catherine Young (Campbell); and her siblings, Clarence R. Winters Jr., Ammon W. Winters Sr. and Betty J. Farley.

She is survived by: her children, Walter W. "Sonny" James Jr. (Sandy) of Montgomery and Vicki L. Keeler of South Williamsport. She is also survived by five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and two great, great grandchildren.
