He was predeceased by: his parents, Nelson B. Sr. Silverstrim and Ethel Silverstrim (March); his wife Doris Webb of March; his former wife Ruth Meckley; and his siblings, Ralph, Margaret (Tom Dunlap) and Doris (William Rall).
He is survived by: his sons, Nelson B. III (Kathy) of Monticello, NY, Gary (Karen) of South Williamsport and Andy (Diann) of South Williamsport; his stepchildren, Nancy M. Remy of Oley, James G. Meckley (Kathy) of Loyalsock Township, John L. Meckley (Pascale) of Binghamton, NY, David W. Meckley (Mary) of Longboat Key, FL and Carol Meckley of Pennsdale; and his sisters, Alma (Christian Nau) of Bear Creek, AL and Mary (Cortland Bigelow) of Williamsport. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; seven step grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and three step great-grandchildren.
The family will provide the flowers and suggests that contributions in Nelson's memory be made to Messiah Lutheran Church, 324 Howard St., South Williamsport, PA 17702.
