He was predeceased by: his parents, John A. Haefner and Elizabeth Haefner (Hochreiter); and his siblings, William E., Louis F., Robert L. Haefner and Mary C. McGee.
He is survived by: his wife E. Jane Ringler; and his sons, Stephen R. (Calleen), Michael P. and John J. (Michelle). He is also survived by nine grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.
