George L. Williams Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of George L. Williams of South Williamsport, Pennsylvania, who passed away on March 13, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon Williams and Frieda Williams (Kowatsch); his wife Joan; his brother Richard Williams; and his brother-in-law Elwood Irion.
He is survived by: his children, Theresa M. Rupert (David) of Montoursville, Janet E. Stettler (Blaine) of Montoursville, Amy L. Carey (Skip) of Mount Pleasant, S. C., Dawn E. Murafka (Michael) of Williamsport, Mark A. Williams (Christine) of Blanchard and Joseph L. Williams (Brooke) of Stroudsburg; his sister Hilda Irion of Montoursville; and his sister-in-law Cindy Williams of Stony Point, N. Y.. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 20th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home- Montoursville (733 Broad St, Montoursville, PA 17754). A memorial service was held on Thursday, March 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home (733 Broad St, Montoursville, PA 17754).
